Brazilian steel imports, exports decrease in April
Brazil’s steel industry continues to focus on the normalisation of domestic supplies, with growing production mainly destined to the local market, according to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest report monitored by Kallanish.
April imports fell month-on-month, but persistently higher demand curbed the export recovery seen in the previous month.
