Brazilian import growth continues in June
Brazilian steel imports continued to grow and shipments abroad recovered in June, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest report, June imports rose 2.2% month-on-month and were also up 195.5% year-on-year to 562,688 tonnes. This was the highest monthly volume of entries so far this year.
