Usiminas highlights mistake on unsafe dams' declaration
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas says that the inclusion of three of its dams in the Brazilian mining agency (ANM) report on unsafe dams was an error.
The Mina Oeste (Somisa), Samambaia and Dike Oeste dams, all belonging to its mining arm Mineração Usiminas (Musa), had been declared stable in external auditing. The ANM report had suggested otherwise, Usiminas says in a note monitored by Kallanish.
