Brazil manufacturing struggles, PMI dives in April
The Brazilian manufacturing sector in April continued to be affected by the country’s economic recession, and recorded the steepest output reduction since November 2015, according to a Markit survey monitored by Kallanish.
Down from a reading of 46.0 in March, the seasonally adjusted Markit purchasing managers’ index (PMI) posted 42.6 in April, its lowest level in the last seven years.
