Brazil increases steel production, consumption in July
Brazilian steel production and apparent steel consumption continued increasing in July, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
During January-July crude steel output reached 20.21 million tonnes, representing an increase of 3.4% compared to the same period of 2017. In July alone, crude steel production totalled 3.02mt, or 6.7% more y-o-y.
