Brazil increases steel output in September
Brazil saw its steel production grow year-on-year in September, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
During January-September crude steel production reached 26.1 million tonnes, representing an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period of 2017. In the ninth month alone, crude steel output totalled 3mt, also up 2.5% y-o-y.
