Brazil distributors' May flats sales, purchases decrease
Flat steel sales and purchases by Brazil’s distributors and service centres fell sequentially in May, Kallanish notes. According to the National steel distributors association Inda, these should grow in June, with an estimated increase of 1% month-on-month.
In May, distributors’ sales totalled 315,600 tonnes, down 5% from April and 4.7% weaker compared with 331,000t a year earlier.
