Brazil’s 2020 automotive output declines uncharacteristically, outlook positive
Brazilian automotive production declined in 2020 for the first time in four years. The automotive industry nevertheless showed an improvement in performance in the last quarter, in line with the recovery from the coronavirus crisis observed in the national economy, Kallanish notes.
Local automotive association Associação Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veículos Automotores (Anfavea) estimates the positive momentum should continue in 2021.
