Brazil becomes largest steel exporter to US
Latin America saw its exports of steel products to the US increase year-on-year in the first two months of 2019, according to February data issued by the US Census Bureau and monitored by Kallanish. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
US-bound shipments from the region rose by 55.8% year-on-year to 1,810,153 tonnes in January-February. The value of these exports was $1.22 billion.
