Bolivia plans for integrated steel mill at Mutún iron mine
Bolivia’s state-owned iron ore mining company, Empresa Siderúrgica del Mutún (ESM), will be temporary closed, Kallanish learns from a statement by the country’s minister of mining and metallurgy, Cesar Navarro. The mine, located in the Santa Cruz department, will undergo a comprehensive renovation plan which will involve the construction of an integrated steel mill within 24-30 months, the minister says.
