BMZ masters ASTM rebar grades for Latin America
Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) started supplying reinforced bar in accordance with the American standardised grade system ASTM A706/A706M-16, the company says.
The producer has been working on adjusting its equipment to ASTM grade standards in the beginning of the year and produced the first test batch in spring. Thus far, BMZ has dispatched 10,000t of ASTM compliant rebar to Panama.
Up to now, BMZ was only producing rebar in accordance with the metric system…
