Bluescope profits jump on core business
BlueScope Steel has reported a sharp increase in profit in the six months ending December 2016 on the back of stronger prices and cost cutting. The Australian steelmaker is concerned, however, that the increasing cost of energy could hurt Australian manufacturers, Kallanish notes.
