BlueScope plans blast furnace reline amid strong profits
Australia’s BlueScope is studying the reline of a blast furnace, emphasising traditional steelmaking over new greener technologies despite a new climate change officer. The company also released its half-year results, which saw US profits hit by the stronger AUD, Kallanish notes.
