BlueScope expects overseas ops to boost half-year earnings
In its guidance presented on 14 July Australia’s BlueScope anticipates better than expected earnings in its financial year to end-June 2016 (see Kallanish 15 July). The boost to the steelmaker's earnings has come from both better results at some of its overseas divisions and better than expected steel prices, which have boosted the value of its inventories.
