Billet propels Iranian output growth despite slab slump

Iranian semi-finished steel production grew 2% on-year in the two months through 21 May to 4.34 million tonnes, propelled by a 15% rise in billet output to 2.57mt, while slab production fell -13% to 1.77mt.
