Billet prices firm in S Korea
Billet prices are rising in South Korea amid rising scrap, Kallanish understands.
South Korea's Daehan Steel ordered around 20,000 tonnes of billet just before the Lunar New Year holiday, local trading sources report. The cargo is for 150mm billet for end-March/early-April shipment. Some say that the material was either from Japan or Taiwan.
