Bengang Plates nears eightfold increase in profits
Bengang Steel Plates Co. (Bengang Plates), the listed arm of Bengang Group in northern China, reported 767.41% year-on-year increase in its net profits in the first half of 2021 to CNY 2.2 billion ($339.4 million), Kallanish notes.
Higher sales prices drove operating income to CNY 38.59 billion in H1, an increase of 73.94% y-o-y. Raw material costs also posted an increase of 69.24% at the same time.
