Bengang specifies targets for 2018
North-eastern China’s Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) laid out its plans for 2018 at the Bengang Workers Congress held on 16 December.
The steelmaker aims to produce 7.88 million tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 16.8mt of pig iron and 17.0mt of crude steel next year. The latest data show that over January to October, its steel products’ output grew 12.9% to 13.0mt.
