Bengang completes No.5 blast furnace construction
Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) in northeastern China's Liaoning province has completed the construction of its No.5 blast furnace in this week, Kallanish notes from local media. The steelmaker looks to commission this furnace in the coming months.
The new blast furnace is reported to have 2.5 million tonnes/year of iron capacity with an inner volume of 3,000 cubic-metres. Construction by MCC'S Huaye Group began on 5 May 2019.
