Accidental fire damages Bengang blast furnace
Around 10:15 a.m on 1 September Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) saw a fire break out beside its No.1 blast furnace. Firefighters arrived at the accident site within an hour and it remains uncertain what the impact will be on production. So far there have been no reports of casualties, Kallanish notes.
