Bengang confirms damaged furnace production resumption date
Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) has announced the date that it intends to resume production on its No.1 blast furnace which suffered fire damage last Friday, Kallanish notes. The steelmaker is also pulling forward the production resumption date for another blast furnace, which could make up for hot metal output lost as a result of the accident (see table below).
