Belarus begins scrap imports from EU
Belarussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) began to import scrap from EU countries in 2016, the company tells Kallanish.
Belarus does not generate enough domestic scrap for its steelmaking needs and buys around 55% of its requirements from abroad. This now includes material from the EU.
