Baowu, Chonggang plan higher 2018 crude steel production
China’s Baowu Iron & Steel Group is targeting 66.9 million tonnes of crude steel output and CNY 470 billion ($74.65 billion) in sales revenue this year. This is up from 65.33mt of crude steel and CNY 464.2 billion in sales revenue in 2017, according to Baowu News.
Baowu says safe production, cost cutting, energy-saving and environmental issues will be the focus in 2018.
