Baowu Group to hold inaugural meeting in December
Baowu Iron and Steel Group, the result of the ongoing merger between Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (Wugang), will hold its inaugural meeting on 1 December in Shanghai, according to Jiemian. In 2015 Baosteel produced 34.93 million tonnes of crude steel, and Wugang produced 25.77mt, totalling 60.7mt and second only to ArcelorMittal globally, Kallanish notes.
