Baogang adds more scrap to produce automotive steel
Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Union (Baogang) is trialling increased scrap usage ratio in traditional blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace steelmaking to produce automotive steel. This could meet growing demand from carmakers for lower-emission steel, Kallanish notes.
