Bangladesh’s BSRM to start new steel plant
Bangladesh’s leading steel manufacturer BSRM is preparing to launch its new $217 million plant in Chattogram's Mirsarai by late June or early July 2024.
This facility, with production capacity of 800,000 tonnes/year, aims to boost BSRM's market share from the current 23% to 34% and address increasing steel demand, notes Kallanish.
This new plant will elevate its total production capacity to 2.4 million tonnes/year.
