Baku Steel sales, output surge in 2022
Baku Steel reported a 30.5% on-year increase in 2022 revenue to AZN 392.9 million ($230.8m), Kallanish notes.
Billet production rose 26.5% to 362,000 tonnes, with rebar and wire rod output up 35.5% to 314,000t and seamless pipe output up 37% to 26,000t, the firm says. It sells product to the domestic market, as well as Europe, America and Asia.
Net profit in 2022 rose 7.5% to AZN 71.6m.
