Azovstal reduces steel, pig iron output in January
Ukraine’s Azovstal steelworks, part of Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January to 369,000 tonnes, down by 11.7% on-year. Pig iron output fell 10% to 330,000t, Kallanish notes. However, rolled products output amounted to 330,000t, up by 12%.
In December alone the mill produced 380,000t of crude steel, 330,000t of pig iron and 325,000t of rolled products.
