AVTOVAZ resumes production of simplified cars amid shortages
Russian carmaker AVTOVAZ has resumed production of cars - the first LADA Granta Classic rolled off the assembly line on Wednesday, Kallanish notes. However, the company says that this model is simplified due to a shortage of imported components.
AVTOVAZ suspended production of cars from 30 April to May 11 due to a planned corporate vacation and holidays, but then repeatedly extended the downtime due to the ongoing shortage of auto components.
