AVTOVAZ receives state support for import substitution
The Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT, part of VEB) will provide Russian carmaker AVTOVAZ with a state grant in the amount of RUB 496 million ($6m), Kallanish notes.
The money will go towards import substitution of foreign production software amid Western sanctions, RFRIT claims.
The corresponding agreement between RFRTI and AVTOVAZ was signed on 30 March.
