AVTOVAZ halts some production due to semiconductor shortages
Russian carmaker AVTOVAZ has suspended production of cars from 2-4 June on assembly lines No.1 and No.5 at its Volga Automobile Plant due to a lack of semiconductor components, the company says.
AVTOVAZ expects to resume production on 4 June in accordance with the semiconductor supplier's plans.
According to Russian media reports, AVTOVAZ's problems are related to supplies from German manufacturer Bosch, which produces electronics for the company.
