AvtoVaz halts production due to low demand
Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ will suspend production from 29 April to 18 May due to low demand in the domestic market, the company confirms to Kallanish. All workers will receive two thirds of their wages for this period.
The long halt of production is also connected with the May holidays in Russia. The corporate holiday was planned last year, but they have now been extended.
