Australian firms seek import duty exemptions
Two exemption reviews are now underway for Australian anti-dumping and countervailing measures into hot rolled plate and hot dip galvanized coils, according to the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission. The steel companies note that there is no domestic supplier of equivalent goods, and so import duties are simply taxes on local firms, Kallanish notes.
