Australia may be exempt from US 232 tariffs
Reports from Australian media suggest that the country’s leaders believe they have managed to secure an exemption for Australian producers from any tariffs resulting from the USA’s section 232 investigation. Although the exemption has not been confirmed, and neither have the 232 tariffs, the news will be welcome to companies such as Arrium and its new owner Liberty House, Kallanish notes.
