Australia grants funding to steelmakers
Liberty Primary Metals Australia (LPMA) and BlueScope have secured promises of funding from the Australia federal government. The funding is intended to ensure the future of steelmaking in the country. Although it has been described as supporting decarbonisation, most of the money will be devoted to a blast furnace reline, Kallanish notes.
