Australia adds alloy steels to HDG duties
Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission has made adjustments to import duties on galvanized coil from South Korea, Taiwan and China, and on hollow structural sections from China, South Korea and Malaysia. This is so that they cover imports of alloy steel as well as carbon steel. The move is designed to stop exporters from adding small quantities of alloys such as boron and chromium in order to avoid import duties, Kallanish notes.
