Asian scrap prices ascend
Asian scrap prices have risen in tandem with the stong run-up in international markets, Kallanish notes.
In Vietnam, a deal for 8,000 tonnes of Japanese H2 scrap concluded at $345/t cfr southern Vietnam. Offers are now at $348-355/t cfr but no recent deals have been heard, trading and importing sources say. Japanese scrap cargoes in the market are for January/early February shipment.
