Chinese group looks to acquire Arvedi's Trieste facilities
Italian steel maker Arvedi may sell the hot end area of its pig iron plant in Trieste to a Chinese Group not involved in the steel sector, says a source close to the matter.
The plant was acquired by Arvedi after it fell into administration in 2014 and was then renamed Siderurgica Triestina, (see Kallanish passim). It was formerly known as Ferriera di Servola.
