Argentina’s August steel production slows, outlook challenging
Argentinian crude steel output fell on-month in August, while hot-rolled production was strong. Performance, however, remained positive compared to the same period in 2021, supported mainly by higher activity in the automotive and construction sectors, Kallanish notes. According to local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), the scenario may change sharply.
