Argentina's September pig iron production grows
Аrgentina's primary iron output increased month-on-month in September, Kallanish notes. The growth was supported by bigger pig iron volumes, while sponge iron production reached its best level since November 2018.
According to Argentine steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA) data, September primary iron output was 333,500 tonnes, up 5.8% on-month and 70.6% higher than the 195,500t produced in the same period in 2020.
