Argentina's primary iron production registers 5th monthly drop
Argentinian primary iron production remained weak in June, decreasing sequentially for a fifth consecutive month. The output, however, was higher year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the national steel association Cámara Argentina del Acero (CAA).
Primary iron production was 288,800 tonnes during the month, down 3,800t from May but 7.5% more than the 268,700t produced in June 2022. This volume was the lowest since 274,800t in October of last year.
