Argentina’s pig iron production slips in May
Argentinian primary iron production fell month-on-month in May. Five-month output, however, remained higher on-year, according to data from local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA) monitored by Kallanish.
May primary iron output was 300,600 tonnes, 4.4% less on-month but 225.4% higher than the 92,400t produced in the same period in 2020.
