Argentina pig iron production increases in April

Argentina’s primary iron production rose both month-on-month and on-year in April. Four-month output also remained higher, according to data from local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA) monitored by Kallanish. Primary iron output reached 244,500 tonnes in April, 3.1% more on-month and 65.2% higher than the 148,000t produced in the same period in 2020.
