Argentina's September pig iron output rises, DRI falls
Argentina saw primary iron production decrease in September. Nine-month output also fell, mainly impacted by the effect of the Covid-19 lockdown, according to local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA) data monitored by Kallanish.
Argentina’s primary iron output reached 195,500 tonnes in September, -32.2% down on-year and -19.8% lower over the 243,700t in August.
