Argentina's May primary iron production remains weak
Argentinian primary iron output decreased sequentially for a fourth consecutive month in May. The production also remained weaker year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the national steel association Cámara Argentina del Acero (CAA).
Primary iron production was 292,600 tonnes during the month, down 20,700t over April and 11% lower than the 328,700t produced in May 2022. This volume was the lowest since 274,800t in October of last year.
