Argentina's monthly crude steel production reaches 46-month low
Argentine crude steel output moved slightly down month-on-month in May. Production was also weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to the country’s steel association, Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), crude steel output totalled 312,100 tonnes in May, a decline of 4,800t month-on-month. This volume was 29.4% less on-year. A similarly low tonnage was observed in June 2020 when Argentine crude steel was approximately 241,100t
