Argentina’s construction sector loses steam, longs demand remains
Argentinian construction sector activity fell month-on-month in August, Kallanish learns from the country's statistics institute, Indec. The deceleration, however, was not reflected in the consumption of rebar, which continued to rise.
Argentinian construction activity decreased by 2.6% over July but was 22.7% higher compared to the same period in 2020. In the first eight months of 2021 it was up 48.1% y-o-y.
