Argentina's August crude steel production slips sequentially
Argentina's steel industry saw its production fall sequentially in August. The main consumer sectors are nevertheless showing good activity, Kallanish notes.
According to local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), local steel demand from the agricultural machinery and construction sectors continues to be strong. Demand from automotive surged 20.1% on-month despite the global shortage of semiconductors.
