Argentina steel exports, imports fall in 2020
Argentinian finished steel exports and imports both fell in 2020, according to local steel association Cámara Argentina del Acero (CAA) data monitored by Kallanish. The country, however, remained a net exporter last year despite the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the local economy’s weak post-crisis recovery.
In 2020, steel exports surpassed entries into the country by nearly 880 tonnes.
