Argentina sees second-quarter steel trade deficit narrow
Argentina saw its second-quarter finished steel trade deficit narrow both on-quarter and on-year. During Q2, trade fell considerably, Kallanish notes.
According to data from the local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), entries in the period exceeded exports by 67,800 tonnes. By comparison, the trade deficit was 177,000t in Q1 2023 and 123,800t in Q2 2022.
